Comments (-1) District Highlights KISD Trustee Reelected to State Association Board Kerrville ISD Board Trustee Rolinda Schmidt has been reelected to a three-year term on the Texas Association of School Boards’ (TASB) Board of Directors, representing TASB Region 20, Position A. The election was held during the Association’s 2020 Delegate Assembly, which was held virtually on October 3. Schmidt has served on the Kerrville ISD Board since 1996 and has held the positions of board president and vice-president. She is currently the board secretary. Comments (-1) KISD Announces Free Meals for Students Beginning Monday, Oct. 19, student meals will be free for all Kerrville ISD students through Dec. 31. Eligible meals include standard breakfast and lunch meals. The program covers meals provided to on-campus students in school cafeterias as well as remote learners who may pick up curbside meals. All curbside meals for remote learners can be picked up at Starkey Elementary between the hours of 9 to 10:30 a.m. Comments (-1) Online Athletic Ticket Sales Available Now Online ticket sales for all Tivy High School and Hal Peterson Middle School athletic events is now available. Tickets to any Hal Peterson or Tivy athletic event must be purchased online as tickets will not be sold at the event. Hal Peterson ticket prices are $3 for adults, $2 for students. Tivy volleyball and Freshman and JV football tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for students. Tivy Varsity football tickets are $7 for adults and $3 for students. Comments (-1) KISD Welcomes New Teachers “We are ‘Kids First’ in every decision we make. Right after that is you: our employees. We say we are a family here at KISD. Welcome to the family.” Superintendent Mark Foust welcomed around 40 new teachers to the district during a two-day New Teacher Academy held earlier this week. The training offers teachers who are new to the district the opportunity to get acquainted with the district’s goals and vision before the start of the new school year.
